Fasting and prayer devotional

By: Pastor David Moorman

Day 30:

Faith is very interesting and sometimes elusive concept. Jesus said to his disciples, “if you say to this mountain be ye removed and cast into the sea it should obey you.”  Only requirement is that you not doubt. What does God mean. What if I have a random doubting thought does that mess up what I could be believing for.

To answer this we have to go to original Greek word for doubt which is “diakrino”. It literal means to withdraw from or abandon. I believe God is not saying that doubting thought, but preserving through those thought are without doubting. Stay the course, DO IT AFRAID!  This makes a big difference.  Today stay the course, but don’t let the enemy shipwreck you just because your feelings or thoughts don’t seem to line up with you actions!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Heavenly Father!  Help me stay the course of where you have led us. Help us say to the mountain, “be removed” and stand!  In Jesus Holy name!  Amen!

DAILY SCRIPTURES:

“Jesus replied, “Let the faith of God be in you! Listen to the truth I speak to you: If someone says to this mountain with great faith and having no doubt, ‘Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea,’ and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done. This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—be convinced that you have received it and it will be yours.”

Mark 11:22-24 TPT

“And we pray that you would be energized with all his explosive power from the realm of his magnificent glory, filling you with great hope. Your hearts can soar with joyful gratitude when you think of how God made you worthy to receive the glorious inheritance freely given to us by living in the light.”

Colossians 1:11-12 TPT
